Privacy Policy
At Compass Learning, we take your privacy seriously. This policy explains what information we collect, how we use it and how we keep it safe.

What information we collect
When you book a session or get in touch, we may collect: your name and contact details, your child's name, year group and the subjects they need support with, and payment information processed securely through our website.

How we use your information
We use your information only to provide and manage tutoring sessions. We will never sell your data or share it with third parties for marketing purposes.

How we store your information
All personal data is stored securely. Payment information is handled entirely through our secure payment provider and we do not store card details ourselves.

How long we keep your information
We keep your information for as long as you are an active client. If you stop using our services, we will delete your data within 12 months unless we are required to keep it for legal reasons.

Your rights
You have the right to request access to the information we hold about you, ask us to correct or delete it, or withdraw consent at any time. To do so, just get in touch.

Safeguarding Policy
At Compass Learning, the safety and wellbeing of every student is our absolute priority.

Our commitment
We are committed to creating a safe, respectful and supportive environment for all students. Every session is conducted professionally and with the student's welfare at the centre of everything we do.

DBS
All tutors working with Compass Learning hold a current enhanced DBS check.

Online sessions
All sessions are conducted online. Sessions are not recorded without the explicit consent of the parent or guardian. We recommend that younger children are in a shared family space during sessions rather than alone in a private room.

Concerns
If we ever have a concern about a student's welfare, we have a duty to act on it. This may mean contacting the relevant authorities. We will always aim to be transparent with families where possible.

Reporting a concern
If you have any concerns about your child's experience with Compass Learning, please contact us directly via the website and we will respond promptly.

Conduct
We expect all sessions to be conducted with mutual respect. We reserve the right to end sessions or terminate arrangements where behaviour makes it impossible to deliver a safe and effective session.
Terms and Conditions
Booking & payment
Sessions are booked online in advance and payment must be made by card online prior to  your session.

Cancellations
We totally understand that life happens! If you need to cancel or reschedule, we just ask for 24 hours' notice. Cancellations made with less than 24 hours' notice will be charged at the full session rate, as the slot can't be offered to anyone else at short notice.

If we ever need to cancel a session due to illness or unavailability, we'll reschedule to a new slot that works for both of you — no charge, no session lost from your bundle. We'll always aim to give you as much notice as possible.

Stopping sessions
If you'd like to pause or stop sessions altogether, just let us know with one week's notice and we'll sort everything from there.

Results
We put everything we have into every session, but we can't guarantee specific grades or outcomes, that depends on a lot of factors, including the effort your child puts in outside of our time together. What we can promise is that every session will be tailored, focused and delivered with 10 years of experience behind it.
